Opening night for "Click" and "Muse" photo exhibits

Dresses of coral and sapphire blue and lime green flutter beneath palm trees in Isla Mujeres, near Cancun, Mexico.

In the next room of Galeria 409, a bleach-white church sits nestled against a hillside in Real de Catorce.

These photos by G. Daniel Lopez and Brad Doherty are part of the exhibit "Click," which opens 6 p.m. this evening at Galeria 409, at 409 E. 13th St.

"Muse" will also open upstairs with photo exhibits by two other photographers, Bruce Lee Smith and Michael Mascha. They shot the same model with drastically different results.

"It’s amazing how each photographer has a completely different eye, and the personality of the artist manages to come through in spite of the fact that it’s a mechanical process that involves a machine," said Mark Clark, owner of Galeria 409. "The personality of the photographer, their whole approach is completely different."
