The Riviera Maya, the Mexican region south of Cancun, is a stretch of white sand beaches and turquoise Caribbean Sea that has recently been bustling with new developments and investments. Sergio Segura, an innovative Mexican architect, is blending the local tropical landscape, ultra-modern luxury, and his signature soft curves to create exquisite, luxury condominiums.El Taj Oceanfront is his newest gem and an addition to already existing four luxury condominiums by the developer Jack Perlman, all located steps from the beach. The new condo, located right on the sugary sand beach, is scheduled for the grand opening this week.
The developer Jack Perlman, a native New Yorker who accidentally got stranded in Playa over 15 years ago and never left, stresses that “in size comparison to Miami Beach or San Juan, Playa del Carmen is a tiny jewel, as all luxury condos in all of Playa can fit into two high rise buildings,” meaning that the town will always have the charm of a small fishing village, and new developments will only add glamour and stability, but will not take away the magic of the place.
