Beckman Wins in Mexico

Cameron Beckman closed with a 4-under 67 to win the Mayakoba Golf Classic, a PGA Tour event at Riviera Maya-Cancun in Mexico. The victory, worth $648,000, was the third of Beckman's career.

The 40-year-old Beckman finished at 15-under 169. Brian Stuard and third-round leader Joe Durant ended up tied for second two strokes back. Stuard carded a 5-under 66 while Durant closed with a disappointing 1-over 72.

Five players finished tied for fourth at 272. The group included Skip Kendall (64), Richard S. Johnson (65), Briny Baird (68), Chad Collins (70) and J.P. Hayes (71).
