"They're looking for any place that's got sunshine," travel agent Susie Meredith said about those looking for a getaway right now.
Meredith, travel agent at the AAA East Central office on Ninth Street in Vienna, has been very busy booking cruises and trips to exotic locales.
"Some of the more popular destinations are Mexico, Cancun, and there's a new place south of Cancun, Riviera Maya. It's a little different. It's an all-inclusive resort, a little more secluded than Cancun," she said.
