The new beaches, ready for release

On Monday 8th, Cancun's beach recovery work will resume after being suspended for technical equipment maintenance.

Rodrigo de la Peña Segura, president of the Cancun Hotel Association, said that from now on they will determine how they will maintain the sand.

As you may recall, the beach recovery work began last November with the release of sand in the area of Punta Cancún, to target Punta Nizuc and cover a stretch of 10.7 km, for which 5.9 million cubic meters will be deposited, extracted from the sand banks "The Ollita" of Isla Mujeres and Punta Norte Cozumel.

After a pause of several days to maintain the technical equipment, it was reported that next Monday will resume the work of sand poured on the last leg, which is approximately 400 meters. The landfill will reach the area surrounding the Royal Solaris.
